From today, traditional home-made Afghan dresses by artist Muska Couture will feature prominently within the exhibition on Rumi. Later this year, fashion shows featuring more traditional dresses and jewellery will also take place during the exhibition.
We at Bildung Nijmegen and Museumpark Orientalis are proud of this collaboration and hope to give more artists a stage in the future.
The Rumi exhibition can be visited during these periods:

Museumpark Orientalis presents an exhibition on the mystical poet Rumi in 2024. We will tell you a story about inspiration, the beauty of poetry, encounters between cultures and a search for your inner self.
Get to know better this 13th-century Sufi mystic, and the culture he came from. Rumi's poetry, published in the six volumes of the Masnavi, is among the most influential literary works in the world (even called 'the Persian Koran' by some). No matter from which philosophy of life, even today millions of readers draw inspiration from Rumi's texts.
Who was Rumi? Where did his wisdom come from? And what can we still learn about love for one another and the higher things from 'our master Rumi'? In this wonderful exhibition, you will learn about Rumi's years-long journey, his meetings with the most important intellectuals and the inspiration he still gives to his millions of readers.
