During the International Student Week, organized by ROC Nijmegen, students, teachers, and policymakers had the opportunity to explore a wide range of international possibilities. The week focused on exchange, development, and collaboration, with various booths offering information and advice. Among the participants were the ROC International Office, Nuffic, Burgerschappen, the VSBFonds, and many other organizations presenting their programs and initiatives.
One of the central themes was Bildung, the concept of broad personal and academic development, with Erasmus+ playing a key role. Students and staff were informed about the opportunities for international mobility and the value of intercultural experiences, both in education and in personal life. Erasmus+ offers numerous opportunities for studying abroad, a program that focuses not only on learning but also on strengthening social and cultural ties across Europe and beyond.
The event was an ideal platform to highlight the importance of expanding the boundaries of the classroom, both academically and personally, and to encourage students to embark on the adventure of international cooperation and study. Initiatives like these help prepare students not only for the job market but also contribute to their development as global citizens actively participating in an increasingly interconnected world.
